Datakey Rep Channel Grows with Addition of Experienced Sales Firms
Dec 14, 2016
Press Release
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (Dec. 14, 2016) – ATEK Access Technologies® has entered into a partnership with MindShare Technical Sales and W. Koop Associates Enterprises, Inc. to meet the growing demand for its Datakey product line. Both sales firms will now add Datakey rugged memory products to their lines of electronic and electro-mechanical products. Datakey rugged memory devices are used by OEMs serving the military, medical, agriculture and industrial markets.
Unlike consumer memory devices, the Datakey line offers a complete range of ultra-rugged, removable memory solutions that are designed for harsh-environment applications and have much longer product life cycles.
“Our customer base is looking for reliable solutions that perform in harsh environments,” said Brian Schultz, president, MindShare Technical Sales. “The Datakey memory products enhance and complement our offering of electronic products.”
Established in 2004, Mindshare Technical Sales is a leading electronic component manufacturers’ representative. Its partners include global manufacturers of semiconductor and electro-mechanical devices. MindShare services the central Southwest US, including the states of Arizona and New Mexico and parts of Nevada and Texas.
W. Koop Associates is an electronic component consulting and manufacturers’ representative company covering western Canada and the Pacific Northwest. W. Koop’s representatives have more than 145 years of combined experience in the electronics industry.
“Mindshare Technical Sales and W. Koop Associates will help us to grow and support Datakey sales in a variety of embedded electronic markets,” said Sherri McDaniel, president of ATEK Access Technologies. “These firms’ extensive knowledge of embedded electronics applications will help us meet the growing demand for Datakey products nationwide.”
Additionally, another Datakey partner, Tricord Technologies merged with Mission Technologies on October 1, expanding the sales staff to eight. The new firm will use the Mission Technologies name. Since 1997, Mission has represented several leading manufacturers, including leading semiconductor brands such as Atmel and Microchip. Mission serves the Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, northern Illinois and Wisconsin territory.
“We are excited to work with these new partners to grow the Datakey brand,” said Jim Speich, sales manager, ATEK Access Technologies. “Mission and Mindshare are both Atmel/Microchip reps as well, which means they are already familiar with many of the secure memory ICs from Atmel’s CryptoMemory and CryptoAuthetication lines, which we use in our Secure Memory line of memory keys and tokens.”
